Shopping and more around the Salamanca district

Serrano MadridCalle Serrano in Madrid is one of the most important and popular shopping areas in Europe and the world, where some of the most prestigious brands pay millions for a square foot of necessary visibility. It is located in the Salamanca district and in the Golden Mile that comprises the streets Serrano and Ortega y Gasset, two places where you will need your credit card in full working activity or a large sum of cash.

Or perhaps not. Because the recent opening of the new Zara, on 23 of the exclusive Calle Serrano, offers high-street prices like in any of its other shops around the city. However, its size is quite exclusively because it has no fewer than seven floors in this building shaped as a crystal cube, a design that will definitely make an impression on you.

Have a walk around Calle Serrano and check out all the luxury in the display windows of brands such as Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Carolina Herrera, Gucci and Chanel. Or, if you prefer, go for the shopping centre format, a format which is resisting the course of extinction. It comes in the shape of ABC Serrano, the old offices of the ABC newspaper, which are now a shopping centre in an architectonic setting of huge value. You will find products from brands such as Bimba y Lola, Mango, Luis&Tachi or El Armario Francés. It is located on Calle Serrano, 61.

Another shopping centre that you will love is Jardín de Serrano, funnily enough located on Calle Goya, 6-8. It has the best brands and gastronomic offers such as Sandwich Club Café but the place you should not miss is right in front, on Calle Goya, 7: Platea. A never-ending list of gastronomic proposals in the area of El Foso or El Patio, where you will find the best of each house: La Hora del Vermut, La Pituca or Sinergias. It is the best place to relax in and have something delicious to eat after an intense shopping session.

And from stylish shopping to a stylish hotel. Finish your day of shopping in Madrid by staying in our design hotel in the centre of Madrid.
