Sumérgete en el mundo vegano

comida veganaThere are vegetarian restaurants that still associate rejection to consuming meat with insipid dishes and salads without dressing. Luckily, this concept of vegan food is reducing itself and in Madrid there are more and more restaurants of this type of cuisine that are opening their doors.

One of the most popular ones is El Vergel, which has two restaurants, one on Paseo de la Florida, 53, and the other on López de Hoyos, 71. It is a vegan flagship restaurant, with more than 4,000 books on vegan cooking, a vegetarian products shop and awards from the Vegetarian Naturist Association of Madrid, which chose it as the best restaurant of its kind. They have a dish of the day for 15 euros, a tasting menu for 25 euros and a children’s menu for 10 euros. The raviolis and the rice with vegetables are two of the most popular dishes.

Another restaurant with more than 30 years experience is Bioteka, located close to Antón Martín (Calle Amor de Dios, 3), dedicated to macrobiotic cuisine and offering delicious menus for little more than 10 euros. It is also much more than a restaurant thanks to its ecologic shop and the activities that take place there every week of which you can find out more in the restaurant itself. We recommend that you visit it for lunch on a weekday.

Not exclusively vegetarian but focused on vegetables with a twist of Navarrese cuisine, we come across two interesting proposals. The first one is MyVeg on Calle Valverde, 28, which offers a tasty lunchtime menu for 15 euros, with traditional dishes with a special touch. An example of which is the Sangüesa white beans, escalivada (grilled vegetables) or fresh pasta with pesto. For those who enjoy meat, the stuffed pig feet are delicious, as is its salmon steak with chopped vegetables.

It is a fantastic gastronomic option to combine with the accommodation at our design hotel in Madrid. Come and see us. Book on our official website, where you will find special exclusive offers that you will not be able to find in other agencies or booking websites.
