El Bus Turístico de Madrid

Madrid is such a big city and has so much to see that having a bus route that will show you around the city as well as giving you detailed information must be a plus.

This is what Madrid City Tours offers. Madrid City Tours has audioguides in 14 different languages, including Spanish, English, French, German, Japanese and Chinese.

The tickets can be purchased online from the Madrid City Tour website and you can get a one day or a two day pass. These tickets are valid for the whole period and you can hop on and off the bus as many times as you like.

There are two main routes. In route one you will pass by the main museums in Paseo del Prado, Museo del Prado and Thyssen for instance. You will also have the chance to visit Plaza de España and hop off by Templo de Debod, a real Egyptian Temple in Madrid. This route will also take you around the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.

The second route also starts next to Museo del Prado, but this time instead of going towards the town centre it goes up Paseo de Recoletos and takes you to the Santiago Bernabeu Football Stadium.

It is really a great way to see the main monuments in Madrid, quickly and comfortably and the starting point, Museo del Prado, is very close to Hotel Quo Puerta del Sol.
